From the Senate, Angara’s remains will be returned to the Heritage Park in Taguig, after which they will be brought to the University of the Philippines where he also served as president.

His remains will then be brought to Aurora for the scheduled burial on May 20.

Angara served as Senate president from 1993 to 1995.

He was senator from 1987 to 1998, and from 2001 to 2013, and was also executive secretary under then-President Estrada’s term.
