SEABA: Gilas Pilipinas whips Singapore by 47 points

Cubao, Quezon City – Gilas Pilipinas won their second game in a row by another blowout over Singapore, 113-66, in the Southeast Asian Basketball Association (SEABA) at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Calvin Abueva again led the team in scoring with 16 points to go with five rebounds and three assists but it was Matthew Wright who bagged the player of the game award after posting 13 points that included two three-point field goals.

Singapore had a good game from Larry Liew who led the team with 14 points while Leon Kwek Wei Meng had 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Other notable performances from Gilas Pilipinas came from Andre Blatche who filled up the stat sheet with 15 points, nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks while Allein Maliksi added 15 points, four assists, and three rebounds.

Gilas stay unbeaten and they will face Malaysia next on Sunday, May 15 while Singapore will take a crack with the same team on Monday, May 16. Both games will be played at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
