Sandiganbayan absolves Ex-PCGG Chair Sabio

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Fourth Division of the Sandiganbayan absolved former chairman of the Presidential Commission on Good Government Camilo Sabio from charges of malversation and graft. Said case came about due to the said commission’s non-spending of its 5 million-peso fund. The Anti-Graft Court held that the fund was not missing and that there was only a problem in the proper documentation during the investigation of the Commission on Audit. Sabio’s camp is happy that the former chair’s name has been cleared.
