(Eagle News)– President Rodrigo Duterte had wanted to axe a government official on the first day of 2018.
“E sabi ko, ‘Huwag naman po, Mr. President. Pabayaan muna natin mag-happy new year ‘yung sisibakin,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in an interview over dzbb on Monday.
Roque did not say who the official was but said he was “top-level.”
Roque said the announcement would be made on January 3 instead.
“Pagdating doon sa laban sa korapsyon, nakita niyo naman po,” he said.
