(Eagle News) — Davao del Norte Rep. Antonio Floirendo Jr. has posted bail.
Floirendo posted the cash bond of P30,000 in a Davao court on Wednesday, on the same day the Sandiganbayan issued a warrant of arrest against him.
The warrant stemmed from the graft case filed by the Ombudsman against the lawmaker over the joint venture agreement between the Bureau of Corrections and his family’s Tagum Development Corp.
The complaint before the Ombudsman had been filed by Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, who alleged Floirendo had “pecuniary” interests in Tadeco even when he was in government service.
