(Eagle News)—Rains are expected in some parts of the country as Typhoon “Jebi” is forecast to enhance the southwest monsoon.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said this was even if “Jebi” was not expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility anytime soon.
As of 3 a.m., “Jebi” was located 1515 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes, and is expected to make landfall in Japan.
Cloudy skies and scattered rains with isolated thunderstorms are therefore expected in Bicol, Mimaropa and Calabarzon on Sunday.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience localized thunderstorms within the day.
Mindanao, on the other hand, will experience good weather during the day.
