QC mayoral bet Crisologo released pending further investigation

(Eagle News)—-Quezon City representative and mayoral candidate Vicente Crisologo has been released pending further investigation.

Crisologo was ordered released by the Quezon City Prosecutors Office a day after he was nabbed for allegedly trying to stop the arrest of his supporters who were supposed to be engaged in vote-buying in Barangay Bahay Toro.

Apart from Crisologo, his son Edrix and over 40 others were arrested.

The younger Crisologo had said in a television interview that they had not been arrested as they were not read the Miranda rights.

The mayoral candidate also denied he was engaged in vote-buying.
