(Eagle News)—-President Rodrigo Duterte paid tribute to all mothers on Sunday, May 12.
In his Mothers Day message in a video uploaded on his former aide Bong Go’s Facebook page, Duterte wished mothers “a very happy and contented life.”
“I know how is it to be a mother because may nanay ako at nakita ko ang hirap at ginhawang ginawa niya para sa pamilya niya. Pero mabuhay kayong lahat mga nanay,” he said.
He was referring to his mother Soledad, whom Duterte would fondly mention in previous speeches.
She died at the age of 95 in 2012.
