President Duterte to visit “Urduja”-affected areas

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte said he would make a visit to the areas affected by “Urduja.”

Duterte made the announcement before a crowd in Davao City on Sunday.

“I have to fly to the places where the typhoon passed through. There’s so much destruction there,” Duterte said.

He said he “would like to see for myself what government can do better than what these guys are doing now.”

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar has said the “government (was) on top of the situation.”

At least three people were killed and several others went missing after “Urduja” struck the Visayas over the weekend.
