President Duterte says NDF consultants to be arrested if they return to the Philippines

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) –President Rodrigo Duterte warned the consultants of the National Democratic Front that they would be arrested if they return to the Philippines.

The President gave his warning in his speech during the 119th anniversary of the Philippine Navy in Davao City, in the face of the previous order of the Communist Party of the Philippines leadership directing the New People’s Army to intensify attacks against government forces in Mindanao.

“And if there is a breakdown in the peace and order here because of the participation of the communists in this war against the ISIS, kung gusto ninyong tumulong sa kabila, magpuntahan na kayo lahat,” he said.

President Duterte said that the NPA was adding to the problems of the country since the communist group intensified its offensives against the military simultaneously with the terror actions of the Maute Group in Mindanao.

“For all the bravado, they never occupied even a barangay for 24 hours yet in the talks.  It’s all full of hubris. Kung manalo ba ang ISIS sa Pilipinas, may papel ba kayo sa mundong ito? You will be marginalized and outcast because your form of government is always anathema to the rest of the religious zealots in this world,” the President said.

“Kayong mga komunista, you are just wasting your time. You cannot prevail over the government of the Republic of the Philippines. Neither can you find a sanctuary under a communist rule,” he added.

Duterte on Saturday said the NPA rebels and members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the Moro National Liberation Front can join and help the government in its offensive against the Maute group and other Islamist terrorists in Mindanao.

NDF senior adviser Luis Jalandoni on Monday claimed they were willing to help government in stopping the Maute and the Abu Sayyaf groups.
