President Duterte mum on resumption of peace talks with leftists

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte did not say whether he would order the resumption of peace talks with the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), the New People’s Army (NPA) and the National Democratic Front (NDF).

According to Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar  Duterte – during his meeting with Peace Adviser Jess Dureza – only said that the government’s socio-economic programs should be continued so that the rebels can be encouraged to return to a normal life.
