PNP’s “Tokhangers” to wear body cams starting June

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa said that police officers who will join drug operations or the so called “Tokhangers” will wear body cameras starting June.

Dela Rosa said that the agency had set aside Php 334 million for the procurement of body cameras which would be used by members of the PNP in their anti-illegal drugs operations.

The body cameras would promote transparency in police operations and will be connected to a system that will allow the PNP chief to access live feed from the cameras.
