PNP to declare full alert status on Labor Day

QUEZON City, Philippines – It is possible that the Philippine National Police may declare full alert status anytime soon. According to PNP Chief Police Director General Ricardo Marquez, aside from the upcoming elections on May 9, the PNP is also considering the May 1 Labor Day holiday.

Marquez added that if ever the PNP declares full alert status before May 1, such will continue until the election, which means that there will no longer be any vacation and leaves for the members of the PNP. Marquez also ordered the acounting of issued weapons to PNP personnel.
