PNP to be accompanied by human rights officers under new “Oplan Tokhang” operations

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) – The new operations of “Oplan Tokhang” now obliges members of the Philippine National Police to invite human rights representatives.

Based on the new guidelines of Oplan Tokhang, there must be a human rights officer from the PNP or any human rights advocate when the police conducts their “tokhang” operations.

There should also be a barangay official and members from the media when conducting any operations.

PNP resumed its “tokhang” operations on Monday, January 29.
