PNP chief upholds personal grudge as motive in Quiapo blast

(Eagle News)– Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa on Friday (May 12) maintained it was personal grudge which caused the explosion in Quiapo, Manila, completely rejecting Islamic State claims of involvement.

Dela Rosa said they were more focused now on personal motive as the probe continues.

Anyway, hindi pa naman tapos ang investigation,” he said in an interview with reporters.

Dela Rosa was referring to Abinal, a Shiite imam, who was the receiver of the package that exploded.

The explosion injured six and killed two; the driver of GrabExpress who delivered the package and an aide of Abinal.
