PNP: Advincula now under police protective custody

(Eagle News)–The man who claimed to be “Bikoy” in the Ang Totoong Narco-list videos against President Rodrigo Duterte is now in police protective custody.

Police Major General Amador Corpus, chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, made the confirmation on Monday, June 3.

“He voluntarily surrendered himself and requested for protective custody,” Corpus said.

Corpus said Advincula’s allegations against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and other members of the opposition are being investigated.

Advincula had alleged they were behind the videos that implicated Duterte and his group in the illegal drug trade, and that he was promised P500,000 if he played the appeared as the yellow-hooded character that made the accusations in the videos.

According to Corpus, Advincula’s cellphone that contained an exchange with the alleged security aide of Trillanes is now being analyzed.

“Validation is ongoing dun sa mga allegations niya..,” he said.

Advincula is facing charges for estafa and illegal recruitment.

He has posted bail.
