(Eagle News)–The Philippines is “firing off” a diplomatic protest against China over the presence of Chinese vessels in the Philippines exclusive economic zone.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin Jr. made the revelation on Twitter, after Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana questioned the presence of Chinese research vessels and warships in the country’s waters.
This is the third diplomatic protest filed by the Philippines against China.
The first was filed in June, after a Chinese vessel hit a Philippine fishing vessel and then abandoned the Filipino crew in the waters.
The second was filed a month after over Chinese ships “swarming” near Pagasa Island.
