Another person recovers, bringing total of recovered patients to 18
(Eagle News) – -The number of coronavirus disease cases in the Philippines has reached 462.
The Department of Health said this was as of 4 p.m. today, March 23, after the agency recorded 82 new cases.
The DOH also recorded eight new deaths, bringing the total to 33.
The new fatalities were within the 57 to 89 years old bracket.
Of the fatalities, four of them had no travel history, while three of them had both no travel history or exposure to COVID-19.
It was not specified whether the remaining fatality had any travel history or exposure.
The DOH also recorded one new recovery, bringing the total to 18.
As for this additional patient who recovered, the DOH said he was a 54-year-old male from Manila who had a travel history to Thailand and exposure to known COVID-19 cases.
He was a known hypertensive who was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 13, and was discharged on March 21. With a report from Madz Moratillo
