(Eagle News) — Malacanang on Tuesday expressed  condolences to the families of the victims in the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday night.

Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella made the pronouncement, as he reported that there was no Filipino casualty in the incident that is now dubbed as the worst mass shooting in modern United States history.

“We join the peace-loving people of the international community in denouncing this latest act of violence,” he said.

He said the Philippines was also “pray(ing)  for the speedy recovery of the more than 500 people who were reported injured.”

Stephen Paddock opened fire at people attending an outdoor country music festival from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay, leaving 58 injured and over 500 injured.

Paddock, an Australian national, is believed to have killed himself before authorities could get to him to make an arrest.
