Philippines, Israel forge bilateral cooperation on tourism

The Philippines and Israel aim to strengthen the promotion and development of tourism between the two countries with the forging of a bilateral cooperation agreement.

What better way is there to know a country, its people and its culture than to experience it for yourself? The title of the joint-conference of tour operators and companies between Israel and the Philippines says it all: “Tourism: A bridge between the pearl of the orient and the holy land”.

Honored guests from Israel and the Philippines gathered on Friday, September 18 in Makati to talk about the mutual benefits tourism between the two countries would bring.

Israel currently allows Filipinos to enter the country without a visa and has also developed niche tourism, which would allow Filipinos to tailor their trip to their needs.

On the other hand, the Israeli market for Philippine tourist destinations will do more good to more Filipinos.

The conference continues the good diplomatic relations between Israel and the Philippines from the first half of the twentieth century when the Philippines took in Jewish refugees of the holocaust and voted for the establishment of the state of Israel.
