Philippine embassy plans to send OFW remains home immediately

QUEZON City, Philippines — The Kurdistan regional government guaranteed that it will exert all efforts to ensure the immediate repatriation of the remains of the thirteen overseas Filipino workers that died in the conflagration in a hotel in Iraq.

Normally, it takes 2-3 weeks before such remains can be repatriated but the Philippine Embassy in Iraq gave its assurance that said remains will be brought back to the country immediately. (Bagdad, Iraq)
