Panelo to Trillanes: “Face the music and dance”

(Eagle News) — “Face the music and dance.”

Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo had this to say to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, following a Makati court’s order to have him arrested, and to have a hold departure order issued against him.

“The order is anchored on solid legal ground. Trillanes should face the music and dance as Frank Sinatra would croon in his song with the same title,” Panelo said in a statement.

According to Panelo, Trillanes should “stop milking the issue and act[ing] pathetically as if he is a victim of injustice.”

“The law of karma as well as of the law has finally caught up with his shenanigans. He has been using his position as senator in planting the seeds of hate and Sedition against (President Rodrigo Duterte) and the government,” Panelo said.

In a 22-page decision, Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150 Judge Elmo Alameda granted the Department of Justice’s motion for Trillanes’ arrest and for the issuance of an HDO against him on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

Alameda pegged Trillanes’ bail at P200,000.

Trillanes said he would post bail today.
