(Eagle News) — Panay Island in Western Visayas is among the top 25 destinations in Asia this year, according to the TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website.
Panay ranked No. 20 and was the only Philippine destination in Asia’s best list.
Panay Island is composed of Antique, Aklan, Capiz, and Iloilo provinces.
The online magazine TripAdvisor cited Puka Beach, Ariel’s Point, White Beach, Motag Travel Musuem, and the Gigantes Group of Islands as some of the popular tourist sites in Panay.
Meanwhile, Bali Indonesia was the top-rated destination followed by Phuket in Thailand, and Hanoi in Vietnam in third place.
The rankings were based on the reviews and collections of travelers worldwide.
