Palace: Two “narco-generals” sacked from police service

(Eagle News) — Two of the five narco-generals exposed by President Rodrigo Duterte in 2016 have been dismissed from police service.

The Palace said Edgardo Tinio, who was Quezon City Police District director when Duterte implicated him in illegal drug activities; and Joel Pagdilao, who was National Capital Region Police Office director at that time; have been sacked.

Chief Supt. Dionardo Carlos, Philippine National Police spokesperson, said they have yet to receive the dismissal order from the higher-ups.

“At yung order na yan, iissuehan namin ng implementing order,” he said.
