Palace: Duterte said his third SONA “should not be more than 35 minutes”

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte has vowed to keep his next State of the Nation Address short.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the President himself said this in a Cabinet meeting.

“‘I will read my SONA speech which should not be more than 35 minutes,'” Roque quoted the President as saying.

President Duterte is slated to make his third SONA on July 24.

He is known to make long speeches, which he more often than not improvises.

Roque has said the President’s SONA speech would come “straight from the heart.”
