Another LPA monitored off Batanes
(Eagle News)—-Tropical Depression “Luis” is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Friday, Aug. 24.
“Luis,” however, PAGASA said, will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon, bringing scattered moderate to heavy rains in Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands until this weekend.
PAGASA is also monitoring a low pressure area 955 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes.
The LPA may develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 to 48 hours, PAGASA said.
PAGASA said sea travel was risky in the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon.
