PAGASA monitoring LPA off Zamboanga del Norte

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring a low pressure area off Zamboanga del Norte.

According to PAGASA, the LPA was so far located 185 kilometers west of Dipolog City.

The northeast monsoon is also so far affecting extreme Northern Luzon.

As a result, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, SOCCSKSARGEN, Palawan, Negros Oriental, Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Flashfloods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.

Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, meanwhile, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands, PAGASA said, will have cloudy skies with rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

According to PAGASA, Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.

Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have moderate winds and coastal waters.

Mindanao, on the other hand, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
