Coming soon: No more Php550 airport terminal fees for OFWs

(Eagle News) — Good news for Overseas Filipino Workers.

Several agencies and an organization are set to sign an agreement that will allow for the removal of a fee imposed on Filipinos working abroad.

The memorandum of agreement that will allow for the removal of the Php550 airport terminal fee will be signed by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA),  the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), and the Susan Ople Foundation.

It is unclear at press time when exactly the MOA will be signed, but sources said this would be soon.

The Php 550 fee is so far already incorporated in airline ticket prices.
