No attack on freedom of media – Malacañang

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that President Rodrigo Duterte’s expression of anger against ABS-CBN and the Philippine Daily Inquirer is not an attack on the freedom of media, but an expression of the President’s disappointment due to their alleged unfair reporting.

According to Abella,  President Duterte himself said that he will not hinder the media’s work.

He said, however, that the President has the right to call for media to be more fair and unbiased.
