NBI files complaint vs members of group allegedly linked to plan to oust Duterte

(Eagle News)–The National Bureau of Investigation has filed a complaint against members of a group allegedly involved in a plan to oust President Rodrigo Duterte in October.

The group was allegedly based in a farm in Rizal.

Reports said NBI and  Philippine Army personnel swooped in on the members on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

Authorities confiscated high-powered firearms that were allegedly labeled “war materials.”

Among those arrested were farm owner Ki Be E alias Lily Ong, who allegedly admitted some police officers  were being paid around P8,000 each month as protection money.

President Duterte has said the Liberal Party, Communists and Trillanes were planning to oust him by October.

But the LP denied there was such a plot, and told Duterte to sack his advisers who it said were feeding him false information.
