NEW YORK, United States (AFP) — Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was fined $50,000 for offensive language toward a game official, the NBA said on Thursday.

The incident came near halftime of the Warriors’ 125-105 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

Green had taken an elbow to the face from Oklahoma City’s Jerami Grant that left him bloodied and complaining to referee Lauren Holtkamp over the lack of a call.

He was handed a technical foul, and was ejected from the game in the fourth quarter after he was issued another technical for tossing the ball in the direction of a game official.

Green has a league-high 13 technical fouls.

Three more technicals would see him serve an automatic one-game suspension without pay.
