(Eagle News) – Tropical depression “Egay” remains almost stationary while over the Luzon Strait due east of Babuyan group of islands, and was spotted based at 175 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan as of 1 p.m.
In its 2 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said that tropical cyclone warning signal number 1 was still hoisted over Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands.
Forecasters said that Egay could be out of the country by tomorrow morning, Tuesday, July 2.
Egay still has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 60 kph.
The Southwest Monsoon will bring light to to moderate with at times heavy monsoon rains over most of Luzon, including Metro Manila, and Western Visayas, while cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, and the rest of Visayas,” PAGASA said.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 2, monsoon rains may continue over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Mindoro Provinces and Palawan
