MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced road closures and lock-downs in some parts of Metro Manila in line with the preparation for the 31st ASEAN Summit and Related Summits that will be held in Manila and Clark, Pampanga next week.
Here is the list of roads and places and the dates they will be on lockdown:

- 8 Nov – Partial lockdown of CCP Complex, Pasay City, starting from 12.01am onwards
- 11 Nov – Complete lockdown of SMX-MAAX Block, Pasay City, at 10pm
- 12 Nov – Complete lockdown of CCP Complex, Pasay City, starting from 12.01am onwards
- 13 Nov – Total lockdown of Roxas Boulevard starting from Padre Burgos Ave. to Buendia Ave., Manila, starting from 12.01am onwards
- 13 Nov – Partial lifting of lockdown at SMX-MAAX Block, Pasay City, starting from 12.01am onwards
- 13 Nov – Lifting of lockdown for Roxas Blvd. (Padre Burgos Ave. to Buendia Ave., Manila), starting at 12nn
- 14 Nov – Lockdown continues at CCP Complex, Pasay City
- 15 Nov – Partial lifting of lockdown for CCP Complex, Pasay City, from 12nn onward
As heavy traffic is expected during the ASEAN Summit, the MMDA advised the public to take the following alternative routes:
- All vehicles using Roxas Blvd. northbound shall turn right at Edsa/Arnaiz/Buendia, left at Taft Avenue, left at U.N/ Finance Road to point of destination.
- All vehicles using Roxas Blvd. southbound shall turn left at P. Burgos/Kalaw/U.N., right at Taft Avenue, right at Buendia/ Edsa, left at Roxas Blvd. to point of destination.
- All vehicles exiting Paseo going to Arnaiz shall turn right to Benavidez St (counter flow_ and right to Trasierra then left to Gamboa and right to Rufino all the way to Pasong Tamo/Javier or take a U-turn to Amorsolo/Rufino then right to Fernando to point of destination.
- All vehicles utilizing Esperanza St shall take Paseo right to Auala towards EDSA, if the said road becomes saturated during the lockdown.
The agency added that it will implement a modified stop-and-go traffic scheme along the routes of the convoy in the areas of Sen. W. Diokno, Jalandoni, A. De la Rama, Bukaneg (in Manila) and Arnaiz Street, Makati Avenue, and Parkway Drive (in Makati). Motorists are also advised to avoid these two crucial highways if possible as an added measure.
