MMDA arrests more than 100 motorists due to distracted driving

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – On the first day of the implementation of the Anti-Distracted Driving Law, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority caught more than 100 motorists violating the law through its non-contact apprehension policy.

According to MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialogo, most of the drivers were caught texting.

Their acts were captured by MMDA’s high definition traffic cameras installed along Edsa.
