(Eagle News)–Classes on Thursday, Oct. 3, were suspended in Mapua University in Intramuros, Manila due to a bomb threat.
The message about the presence of a bomb was received at 8:20 a.m., prompting the administration to order the buildings vacated.
“However, today will be a digital day,” Mapua said on its Twitter account, as it urged its students to be online for their lectures.
After conducting a panelling of the campus for two hours, members of the Manila Police District’s Explosives and Ordnance unit declared the campus explosives-free shortly before 11 a.m.
On Sept. 19, the university also received a bomb threat in the same campus and in its Makati campus.
Authorities said the bomb threat then was received during exam week.Madz Moratillo
