(Eagle News)–The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has ordered a reshuffle of all its cashiers at the central office and the relief of all its security guards.
LTFTB Chair Martin Delgra III also ordered all regional directors to submit themselves to a lifestyle check, and directed them to submit a copy of their Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth and other documents that may be necessary.
Delgra issued the order after a composite team of personnel from the Anti-Red Tape Act, the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission and the National Bureau of Investigation arrested a supposed fixer within the LTFRB premises.
“We will undertake all necessary measures to reassure the public of LTFRB’s commitment to transparent, accountable and corruption-free service to our stakeholders,” Delgra said.
“‘Yan ang nais ni Pangulong (Rodrigo) Duterte. ‘Yan din ang mahigpit na utos ni (Transportation) Secretary (Art) Tugade. Wala po tayong palalampasin dito,” Delgra added.
In his fourth State of the Nation Address, Duterte expressed frustration corruption continued to pervade government.
Duterte had promised to eradicate corruption when he was running for president in 2016.
