(Eagle News)–A low pressure area has been spotted off Eastern Samar, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
According to PAGASA, the LPA was seen 770 kilometers east of Guiuan at 3 a.m. today.
The southwest monsoon is also affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas, the weather bureau said.
MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, CARAGA Region, Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon and the trough of the LPA.
Flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible, PAGASA said.
Moderate to strong winds and noderate to rough coastal waters are expected in Northern Luzon, while the rest of Luzon will have moderate winds and coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters, PAGASA said.
