LPA outside PAR develops into Tropical Depression; TD expected to enter PAR today

(Eagle News)–The  Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring a low pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility that has developed into a tropical depression.

PAGASA said as of 2 a.m., the center of the tropical depression was estimated at 1355 kilometers east of Visayas, and is expected to enter PAR today.

PAGASA said Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, and the provinces of Quezon and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms  due to the trough of the tropical depression.

Zambales and Bataan  will also have those conditions this time as the southwest monsoon affects Luzon.

The weather bureau said flash floods or landslides are possible due to scattered moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan and the rest of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
