(Eagle News) — The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Tuesday (December 13) approved the appointment of former Makati congressman Teodoro “Teddyboy” Locsin Jr., as the Philippines’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN).
The CA also approved the interim appointments of three Cabinet secretaries, and 21 foreign service officers.
The powerful CA also approved the appointment of Secretaries Ismael Sueno for Interior and Local Government, Arturo Tugade for Transportation, and Mark Villar for Public Works and Highways.
However, the confirmation of Agriculture Secretary Manny Pinol, former Lanao del Sur governor, had been deferred.
The CA will now submit a report to President Rodrigo Duterte on the action taken on the nomination of the envoys.
