QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Bagong Henerasyon Party-List Representative Bernadette Herrera-Dy encouraged the Metro Rail Transit and Light Rail Transit administration to adopt an insurance system in case of accidents.
Herrera-Dy made the statement in the wake of an accident on November 14 where a young woman lost her right forearm after falling down into the MRT’s platform in Ayala station.
Herrera-Dy also said that the MRT must pay for the hospitalization and post-hospitalization expenses of the young woman.
