MANILA, Philippines – In a 29-page petition, the Ugnayan ng Maralita party-list and the National Federation of Laborers asked the Supreme Court to declare Republic Act 6727 or Wage Rationalization Act for being violative of the equal protection clause. Said petition is also asking for the abolition of the regional wage boards and the creation of a national standard minimum wage.
