La Mesa Dam near spilling level; overflowing of Tullahan River feared

(Eagle News) —  As of Tuesday, August 14, La Mesa dam’s water elevation has reached 79.06 meters.  It increased to 79.16 meters as of Wednesday, August 15, less than a meter before its spilling level of 80.15 meters.

If the rains continue, people expressed apprehension that it would spill over and cause the nearly Tullahan River to overflow, leading to more floods in the area.
