Kin of Davao mall fire victims cry for justice; to file charges against NCCC

(Eagle News) — Families of the fire victims killed in the 32-hour NCCC mall blaze in Davao said they plan to file  charges against the mall management.

Jimmy Quimsing, father of Jim Benedict Quimsing, who was killed in the fire, said that the charges to be filed stem from the management’s supposed negligence.

Reports said that there were not enough fire exits, extinguishers, sprinkles and designated fire escapes in the NCCC mall.

But the local government said that the mall was found to have complied with the Fire Safety Code.
