(Eagle News)–Red and yellow alerts are in effect over the Luzon grid today, June 7.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the red alert, which means there is a generation deficiency, will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A yellow alert, which means reserves do not meet the minimum requirements, is in effect from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Available capacity is at 11376 megawatts, while peak demand is at 11237 MW.
The cause of the alerts will be explained by the Department of Energy later in the day.
