Quezon City gov’t suspends classes on Friday, Aug. 3

(Eagle News) — Classes in Quezon City on Friday, Aug. 3, have been suspended.

In a radio interview, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista said the suspension applies to morning and afternoon classes in public and private schools.

He said the suspension applies to all levels.

“Onting ulan baha na sa dami ng ginagawa na MRT, Skyway. Nagmumukhang ilog ang Araneta Ave. na nagcaucause ng flooding..Kawawa naman yung mga bata na papasok at pumasok na na uuwi,” he said, in explaining the city government’s decision.

Rains caused by the southwest monsoon have caused flooding in several parts of the country.
