(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday, Nov. 22, said he dismissed the secretary general of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council.
He said he signed the dismissal order of Atty. Falconi V. Millar before he left his office to speak during the inauguration of Cavite Gateway Terminal.
“I will not allow corruption in government,” he said.
In a separate statement, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the President’s order against Millar, who is also the head of the secretariat of the inter-agency Task Force Bangon Marawi overseeing the rehabilitation of the city. takes effect “immediately.”
“There are no sacred cows in this administration, especially in its drive against corruption. As the President said, he will not tolerate even a whiff of corruption in the executive branch of government,” Panelo said.
