(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed the brother of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III as administrator of the Philippine Coconut Authority, Senator Bong Go said on Monday, July 29.
Go said Gonzalo Duque took his oath before Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea earlier in the day.
The PCA reverted under the helm of the Department of Agriculture in September 2018.
In December of that year, President Duterte said he wanted the PCA board including PCA administrator and board vice chairman Romulo dela Rosa to submit their courtesy resignations amid an agency revamp. With a report from Meanne Corvera
