(Eagle News)–The wife of industrialist John Gokongwei Jr. has died.
Elizabeth Yu Gokongwei passed away on Saturday, Nov. 16, a week after her husband died, daughter Lisa Gokongwei Cheng said in a Facebook post.
The burial of the Gokongwei patriarch had just taken place on Friday, Nov. 15.
It was unclear what the cause of death of Elizabeth was.
“Our mother was a very private person. We would like to honor her privacy at this time. Private wake details will be shared with friends and family,” Lisa said.
