Japan PM Shinzo Abe visits President Duterte’s home in Davao City

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his wife visited President Rodrigo Duterte’s home in Davao City where the President served them for breakfast Filipino delicacies like suman, biko, kutsinta and monggo soup.

The two leaders also named a Philippine Eagle “Sakura” which means “cherry blossoms” in honor of the Japanese Prime Minister. Abe also tried native fruits like durian and marang.

Mr. Abe visited Davao City in his second and final day of his two-day official visit to the Philippines.
