Indonesia to pay Php 50M ransom to Abu Sayyaf Group

QUEZON City, Philippines – The company of the ten Indonesian sailors abducted by the Abu Sayyaf Group will pay a Php 50 million ransom in exchange for their freedom. According to the Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, the company and the ASG faction have already agreed on the price and are now just finalizing the details regarding the delivery of the money to said ASG faction. The 10 Indonesian sailors were abducted while riding their tugboat going to Borneo.
